The Carpet Shop reserves the right to amend the Terms & Conditions at any given time.  
 
 
1)     Order & Payment
 
1.1 Sales Order
  • All Sales Orders submitted through The Carpet Shop Webstore are subject to our acceptance. The Carpet Shop reserves the right to cancel or terminate the obligations to fulfill any Sales Order, for any reason whatsoever, even after a Sales Order is confirmed by, and paid for by the customer, with or without notice and we shall not be liable to any party for such termination or cancellation. In such event, we shall refund to the customer the price of the item(s) purchased.
1.2 Payment Terms
  • All prices are denominated in Singapore Dollars.
  • We accept the following payment modes:
    • Internet Bank Transfers (POSB/DBS) or DBS PayLah!
    • Paypal/Credit Card via Paypal (VISA/Mastercard/American Express)
  • All transaction charges by Paypal are fully borne by The Carpet Shop.
  • Do note that inter-bank transfers can take up to 3 business days, and we will only acknowledge payment receipt when actual funds have been deposited into our bank account. Saturdays, Sundays and Singapore recognised public holidays are not considered working days.
  • Upon checking out, an order confirmation email will be sent to you. For customers opting to pay via Internet Bank Transfer or DBS PayLah!, please follow the link in the email to provide us with your payment details.
  • For payment via Internet Bank Transfer or DBS PayLah!, please note that checking out an item implies your intention of confirming it. The item(s) would be reserved for you for the next 24 hours, unless otherwise agreed upon. Your order will be cancelled, without further notification if payment is not received by us within the stipulated timeframe.
  • After your payment has been verified and received by us, a notification email will be sent to you and your order will be prepared. Once you have completed checkout, you may check the status of your order at any time by logging into your account.
 
2)    Shipping
  • Unless otherwise stated, all prices reflected in your Sales Order are INCLUSIVE of delivery.
  • Free delivery services will only apply to addresses within Singapore. No delivery will be made outside Singapore, to post office boxes or restricted areas*.
  • *An additional surcharge will be imposed for delivery to restricted areas. Examples of restricted areas include:
    • Alps Avenue, Changi Cargo Complex/Ferry Terminal, Airport link, Jurong Island, Lim Chu Kang, MID Bases, Sentosa, Senoko, Sembawang Park, Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, Tuas View Extension, Changi Airports, Marina Baysand. (Please kindly check with us for rates.)
  • Your item(s) will be shipped out from our warehouse within 2 to 3 working days after payment has been received.
  • Free delivery is provided as a value-added service. Surcharge applies for delivery other than the timeslots stated. Delivery is available from Monday to Friday 9am to 1pm, 2pm to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm (excluding public holidays).
  • You may indicate your preferred delivery date and timeslot during your checkout. 
  • The delivery timeslot you have provided is tentative. A delivery confirmation email will be sent to you in a seperate mailer within the next working day. 
2.1 Undeliverable Packages
  • Please be sure to be present at the time of delivery if possible.  
  • You may authorise someone who is above the age of 18 to receive the item on your behalf if you are not available to receive the item(s) personally.
  • You will be contacted half to an hour prior to delivery to confirm your presence. 
  • All undeliverable packages due to incorrect name or address, or not present / failure to claim may result in a 20% restocking fee based on the purchase price of your merchandise (subject to a minimum fee of S$30.00).
  • While the courier team try their utmost to deliver within the stiplulated timeframe, there are many external factors (traffic, vehicle, weather, customer not present) which can cause delay. We sincerely seek your understanding should such unforeseen circumstances arise. The courier team will notify the soonest of any such delays and reschedule your delivery if necessary.
2.2 International Shipping
  • For overseas shipping, please email me us at admin@thecarpetshop.com.sg. We will advise our delivery charges according to shipping destination and weight of your purchase order.

2.3 Self Collection 

  • By appointment only.
  • All products can be arranged for self-collection.
  • Collection is available from Monday to Friday 12pm to 4pm (excluding public holidays).
  • You may indicate your preferred collection date and timeslot during your checkout. We would require 1-2 working days to prepare your items for collection.
  • We operate a home office and is located in the Kovan vicinity off Upper Serangoon Road. An email confirmation with our exact pickup address will be sent to you within the next working day.

 

3)     Return and Exchange
 
3.1 Sales Cancellation
  • There is strictly no cancellation of Sales Order once it is confirmed and payment has been received by us. The Carpet Shop reserves the right to refund you the price of the item(s) which has been paid.
3.2 Exchange
  • We want you to love what you ordered. If you are not satisfied with the item(s) you have purchased, you may request for an exchange within 7 days from the date of delivery.
  • All original packing material and accessories with the purchased item and gifts (if any) that come with it have to be returned together.
  • All Exchanges are subject to a 25% restocking fee (subject to a minimum fee of S$30.00) based on the purchase price of your merchandise(s).
  • If you would like to exchange an item, please follow the instruction below:
    • Please email us at admin@thecarpetshop.com.sg or using the Contact Us form to indicate your intention to exchange within 7 days from the date of delivery.
    • Item(s) to be exchanged must be in its original condition, not used and not defective due to your negligence.
    • Find the new item you wish to exchange for and make payment for the 25% restocking fee.
    • Kindly note that you would be required to top-up the price difference if the value of the new item is in excess of what you paid previously. In the event of a reduction in price, the excess value will be utilised to offset the restocking fee payable.
    • Your new order will be prepared when payment is verified.
    • Our sales representative will be in touch with you within the next business day after payment acknowledgement to arrange for delivery of the new item and collection of the exchanged item.
    • ALL SALES ARE FINAL ON CUSTOMISED ITEMS AND ITEMS WITH A PRICE OF $100 OR LESS.
3.3 Return and Exchange - Defectives and Incorrect Item
  • There are strictly no returns unless the item(s) sent to you is incorrect or defective.
  • We will issue a full refund if the item you have ordered is out of stock and we are unable to restock it.
  • All original packing material and accessories with the purchased item and gifts (if any) that come with it have to be returned together.
  • No administrative charge or restocking fee shall apply for such refund.
  • The item must be shown to be defective not due to your negligence or incorrect before The Carpet Shop entertain the exchange/ return request.
  • The item must be returned before any request for refund will be entertained.
  • Please note that normal processing time for refund requests is 1 week from date of request.
  • If you would like to exchange/return a defective or incorrect item, please follow the instruction below:
    • Please email us at admin@thecarpetshop.com.sg or using the Contact Us form to indicate your intention to exchange/return within 7 days from the date of delivery.
    • The Carpet Shop reserves the right to request for photos of the defective or incorrect item sent to you.
    • Find the new item you wish to exchange for (only in the case where the exact same piece is out of stock).
    • Kindly note that you would be required to top-up the price difference if the value of the exchanged item is in excess of what you paid previously. In the event of a reduction in price, the excess value will be refunded.
    • Our sales representative will be in touch with you within the next business day to arrange for delivery of the new/correct item and/or collection of the defective/incorrect item.
  
 
4)     Product Display and Colours
  • The Carpet Shop attempts to display product images shown on the site as accurately as possible. However, we cannot guarantee that the colour you see matches the product colour, as the display of the colour depends, in part, upon the monitor you are using.
